3rd Player High Drill – Excellent for teaching third player high in the Offensive Zone!

This drill is excellent for teaching third player high responsibility in the OZ.    The third player high must be above the hash marks at all times but can move across ice from side to side to support the two offensive forwards down low trying to take the puck to the net to score.  This is a three on three drill excellent for conditioning, coaching “compete level” and practicing offensive and defensive skills.  The progression is allowing the third player high to drop down below the hash marks but only if being replaced by an offensive forward immediately to maintain third player high.
